Choosing a Holster for comfort and ease of use only...

Writer: null nullnull null

Being in the business of carrying a gun since 1997 and carrying other defensive

weapons since 1992 I've been in my share of self-defense situations and have learned

from my own experiences and the experiences of others of what you need to have when

rubber meets the road in a self-defense situation. One of those is that you need a holster

that works properly over comfort. Most modern holsters for concealed carry can provide

you with a fairly comfy platform but lack in other areas. The major one being the belt

clips. Most holsters today come with an easy-on-easy off single belt clip that keep the

holster somewhere in the vicinity of the location you put it. One thing we must remember

is that if the clip slips on and off super easy, it will do the same if you get into a struggle

with an attacker. I know, I know, but that will never happen to me, right. Keep dreaming.

You carry a gun assuming one day there is a likely hood of you being attacked, and not

every attack justifies the use or even the brandishing of your firearm at first. The likely

hood of you having to use non-lethal force to defend yourself before even thinking about

drawing your gun is extremely high, and if you get into that altercation and your holster

with your gun falls out and the attacker gets it before you can, you're DEAD... Another

scenario to play out could be you're fighting off the attacker and then he pulls a knife

at close proximity and you grab your gun and draw it but the holster comes out with it,

again, you're DEAD... I can't tell you how many training situations I've been in with

other concealed carry holsters that came off when I drew the gun in training situations

that it's not even funny. When I was developing this holster, I went through a good many

different belt clips that just wouldn't hold up in a physical altercation and the holster

would either come off while wrestling around with the other training partner, or it

would come off with the gun when I was justified to draw it. The other scenario that can

play out in this type of situation is that you have the right to draw your gun to defend

yourself or others and you go to grab it and it's not exactly where you put it and train

with it so now you're fumbling around trying to find it which, can end up with you being

DEAD... Our holsters come with belt clips that have the retention tabs to grab your

belt if pulled upward and stay on your belt. We also have 2 belt clips so that you can

adjust them to your liking and the gun will stay in the same position all day whether

sitting, standing, working, or playing with the kids. When you go to draw your gun,

It's where you put it and train to draw it. I can't stress enough how important this is, it

could be life or death if you fail to produce the firearm fast enough, or it falls off and the

attacker gets it first. Make sure to check our holsters out, and whether you buy ours or not,

make sure to get one with good retention clips to keep your holster in place. Just a heads up,

1 single clip isn't going to do it in a physical altercation. A non-retention type isn't going to do

it either. Whatever holster you have now or are looking to get, make sure it can serve you the

way it needs to. Remember, our holsters are fully adjustable to your body to help with comfort,

they also have 2 retention clips standard so that you won't have to worry about the holster

coming off while fighting or when you draw it.

Stay Safe, Stay Armed!
